Puig celebrates being alongside the first world champion in WorldWCR history
We are still riding the emotional high from yesterday when we witnessed a historic event: Ana Carrasco (#22) from the Evan Bros Yamaha Racing Team claimed the world championship crown in the final round of the inaugural FIM Women's World Speed Championship. It’s been a challenging season, filled with battles against her biggest rival, but Ana kept climbing the podium, in any position, always scoring points and fighting like only she can. On Friday, she arrived in Jerez with an 18-point lead, and although Herrera managed to cut it down to 13 in Race 1, it all came down to yesterday. When Herrera fell on the final turn, Ana had already secured her second world championship, being the first in the women's category.
Once again, after her 2018 WorldSSP300 title, Ana rises to the top, thanks to her effort, hard work, and the undeniable talent that runs through her veins.
But that's not all: Alex Lowes (#22), from the Kawasaki Racing Team, finished 4th in the 2024 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship after winning the Superpole Race. After a very intense season for Lowes, the Kawasaki rider managed to place himself among the best in the world, showcasing the competitive and improvement-filled year he had. Although some crashes forced him to stop when he didn’t want to, he’s shown he deserves his place. Next year, in the new Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team project, he’ll apply everything he’s learned, and we’re confident that 2025 will be his year.
We are sad to see the season coming to an end, but it’s been a year where Puig has celebrated many victories with the teams it sponsors, filling our weekends with joy. We don’t know what the 2025 season will bring, but we’re certain we’ll keep celebrating the teams' achievements.
