“The thunder of Cervera”
Known in his hometown as “the thunder of Cervera”, the actual Moto GP world champion will contest his sixth year in the queen category.
With 24 years of age, this young man has already won six world titles, including Moto3, Moto2 and Moto GP. With only 8 years he won his first Motocross Championship in Catalonia. He climbed rungs through regional and state championships such as the CEV without leaving anyone indifferent until 2008, when he arrives to the 125cc World Championship. Three years were enough to proclaim champion in this category. It was then that he switched to Moto2, where he only needed a year to proclaim himself champion. After this, he jump to Moto GP in 2013, where he won the Championship in his first year.
Marc Marquez has conquered everything that has been put forward and this season will try his fifth Moto GP Championship.
An icon of the experience
Dani Pedrosa will run his eighteenth consecutive season with the Honda brand. He is the pilot who has achieved the most achievements for the Japanese brand in all history.
Pedrosa appeared with only 15 years in the 125cc Spanish Championship with Honda. The following year, in 2001, he jump to the 125cc World Championship, where he ran for four years getting two thirds of the overall standings. In the year 2003 he ran for the first time in the 250cc category, getting the world title.
Of the pilots that are on the grid today few can boast of having run in two different categories during the same season. Pedrosa did it in 2004, when he won the 250cc title and finished 5th in Moto GP. The following year he played only the 250cc world championship, where he was champion once again. It was not until 2006 that he made the final leap to Moto GP, where he has been runner-up on three occasions with more than 100 podiums behind him.
For Dani Pedrosa this will be the fourteenth world championship that runs in Moto GP, where he will continue to make history with Honda.
