Puig and Honda HRC Castrol Move Forward: Joan Mir Takes a Step Ahead

The 2025 Argentine MotoGP Grand Prix, held at the Termas de Río Hondo circuit, was the second stop of the 2025 MotoGP Championship. Joan Mir (#36) and Luca Marini (#10) achieved good results for the team, allowing Honda to showcase a competitive improvement on the MotoGP grid.

The Mallorcan rider finished eighth in the Sprint Race, marking his best Saturday performance to date. On Sunday, in the main race, he maintained a steady pace and crossed the finish line in tenth* place, 15.787 seconds behind the winner. With this result, Mir adds 10 points to the championship and holds the eleventh position in the overall standings.

His teammate, Luca Marini, had a modest performance in the Sprint Race, finishing thirteenth without scoring points. However, in the main race, he showed significant improvement, climbing to the eleventh position and finishing just over 16 seconds behind the leader. With this result, Marini also adds 10 points to the championship, placing twelfth in the standings, tied with his teammate Mir.

The next round will be the Grand Prix of the United States, where Mir and Marini will aim to continue their progress and get closer to the front group. We wish them continued improvement and hope they gradually achieve the success they have been working so hard for.

With Ai Ogura’s disqualification from the Argentine Grand Prix for using non-approved software in the electronic control unit of his Aprilia, Joan Mir, who had originally finished in tenth position, moved up to ninth place in the official race classification.
