The Puig-sponsored team triumphs in the Spanish Superbike Championship held in Jerez
After an outstanding 2024 season, Team Laglisse started the new year strong and placed themselves among the front runners of the ESBK, which kicked off last Thursday, April 3rd. Despite excellent preparation during pre-season, nerves were in the air. However, that didn’t stop the riders and the team from feeling that mix of butterflies and excitement at the start of a new chapter in motorcycling in 2025.
Saturday was a particularly emotional day: Juan Pablo Uriostegui (#51) achieved his first podium with Team Laglisse in the Superstock 1000 category, finishing in third place. The day started with complications, especially for Borja Gómez (#12), who crashed while leading the race. Even so, Juan Pablo’s third place lifted the team’s spirits and left them hopeful for Race 2 on Sunday.
And indeed, the next day, Borja Gómez and Javier Palomera (#57) claimed victory in the Superbike and Superstock 1000 categories, respectively. Additionally, Juan Pablo repeated his third place, sharing the podium with Palomera.
Without a doubt, Team Laglisse experienced a fantastic first weekend of competition this season. Now it’s time to focus on the next round, which will take place on June 19th, close to home, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
